Howdy! It’s March and that means the Spirit of Texas Festival, presented by H-E-B Creamy Creations, is just around the corner. And I, personally, am more than excited to be part of the festivities on March 23-25 at Wolf Pen Creek Amphitheater!

On top of all the fun (the IDEA Village! listening to live music! Pony Hop Rodeo!), I am personally most excited about the FOOD that will be there. I am a Foodie who has travelled far and wide (from New York, Los Angeles and various parts of Asia) to explore different foods from different places. So I am especially excited about the festival’s BBQ Cook Off, which is sanctioned by the International Bar-B-que Cookers Association, which is dedicated to creating equitable competitive barbeque cooking internationally.

I have always enjoyed barbeque ever since I started living in Texas, so it peaked my interest when I happened to see the link for the event on Facebook. I can finally put my eating skills to the test as a BBQ Judge for Spirit of Texas Festival! If you love fajitas, margaritas, beans, chicken, ribs and brisket, you can sign up to be a judge for the biggest baddest BBQ Cook-Off in the Brazos Valley and help us decide who takes home over $10,000 in cash & prizes. Sign up to be a BBQ Cook-Off Judge here.

In addition, the Spirit of Texas Festival will bring a taste of Texas with 30-plus food trucks competing in the $11,000 Curbside Smackdown competition, and attempting to set a new Guinness World Record for the Longest Ice Cream Sundae.
